Within the questionnaire and setup information nodes there are two different kinds of question formats for text.
Short text
The Short Text format requires the signee to write one line of text. There is no limit to how long the text is but it will appear all in one line.
Fill in the fields to configure the Short Text question:
- Question: Enter the question here (required)
- Description: If the question requires further explanations write them here (optional)
- Type: The question format type of the question. If you change your mind about using the Short Text question format, you can choose another question format here.
- This field is required: By default all questions are required to be answered by the signee. If a question should be optional, uncheck this checkbox.
- Placeholder: Here you can write text that appears in the input field for the signee (optional)
- Minimum length: You can set the minimal amount of characters that the signee needs to input (optional)
- Maximum length: You can set the minimal amount of characters that the signee needs to input (optional)
Advanced field settings
- Data key: A Data key is automatically generated when you enter the question. The data key is used for delivering information between Taktikal and external systems, such as via integration, webhooks and API. These Data Keys need to be unique but can be changed here. We advise using caution when changing Data Keys if the connection to the external system has already been made, since changes to the Data Key will cause errors in delivery unless the same change is made to the Data Key in the other system.
Long text
The Long Text format works the same as the Short Text format except the area for the signee to input text will provide space for multiple lines.
