To configure sealing for your company the user must first apply for a certificate from a trust service provider that offers Qualified certificate for electronic sealing.
Certification applications to Auðkenni
For Icelandic companies we recommend using certificates from Auðkenni - link to application.
Before the application is created, please contact help@taktikal.com. We will create a CSR file for your certificate and provided information about Taktikal's technical contact, which must be specified in the application.
Further directions on the applications can be found on Auðkenni's website.
After the application is submitted to Auðkenni the technical contact (the Taktikal employee) will get an email from Auðkenni to identify himself so that the certificate can be issued.
When the certificate has been issued, it will be emailed to the technical contact to enable setting it up in Taktikal's systems.
Once the sealing certificates has been configured in Taktikal's systems the sealing section will appear in the portal menu on the left.
Sealing stamp
The default seal will look similar to Taktikal's digital signatures, where the name of the signee is replaced with the name of the company that is performing the sealing.
The customer can request a custom sealing stamp to be created for their sole use. In which case the blue icon in the top left corner is replaced with the company's logo.
Certificate maintenance
Sealing certificates are valid for a set number of years, depending on what you chose in the application. When they expire, sealing will not be possible until a new certificate is provided.
Taktikal strives to notify the company prior to their sealing certificates expiring, but ultimately it is the responsibility of the company to ensure that they always have a valid certificate.
